We wish to clarify a misunderstanding with our battery. Our manufacturer makes the batteries under his brand IONIX and Minelite sells and distributes the battery as SA 1000. The SA 1000 can be purchased as a bare battery or a battery fitted with a halogen headpiece or a battery fitted with an LED headpiece. These batteries are repairable and can be recycled for a cost with certification of disposal.

 

The SA 1000 is not approved for coal mining our other hazardous areas. It is mainly used in metal and hard rock mining.

 

These batteries have been designed to charge on lead acid charging racks as these charging racks are still the most commonly used charging systems throughout the world.

 

In Australia the most commonly used charging system is the Gilgray lead acid charging racks, which we are happy to supply.

 

Most users still have their present lead acid charging racks in place along with Oldham headpieces and are therefore mainly looking at changing out their heavy lead acid batteries.
